The platform I needed.

Web toolkit for solopreneurs, independent artists, labels, and publishers.

~/why

the need to build a platform arose from years of saas taking 4 seconds to respond, data stuck in systems with no way to export it, and not knowing if anything you type is being recorded and resold.

chat support that loops. service emails that end with 'sorry, legacy feature, can't help you.' you learn their system, their code, their philosophy. then they deprecate it. more hours just to get back to where you started. and don't get me started on ai assistants with retro-futuristic female names being shoved down everyone's throat.

speed and privacy. we don't want to own your data -- it's easier for both of us if you keep it. what we provide is encrypted backups. the vision is a local-first app that talks to the main remote server -- the poe.engine. think a game console and a controller. the app is the controller. services, backups, web relays, all happen through the console. updates get pushed to everyone on the network.
